End to Old Habits ın Education!
Which one of us do not use technology in education? In the 21st century, the use of technology has increased, especially in the field of education. Technological tools started to be used instead of traditional methods. In today's world, applications and websites are used by teachers to support language teaching. There is a computer and a mouse instead of notebook and pen. Prepare your coffee and let's take a look at the MindMeister application that ı use to take notes in my Instructional Technology course.
MindMeister is an online service site. You can download it as an application to your phone and you can also access it from google. You can register by using your email or google account. Well, for what purpose is this site used? Let's examine together! It is a material when we look at it in terms of instructional technologies. It allows creating online mind maps. You can publish these mind maps on your blogs, websites and on your social media. You can create a common concept map with your students. I want to add a little detail. You can decide that the people you invite can edit your maps.
The tool has a simple interface. It consists of 3 menus. These are my maps, channel and publics map. You can access the mind maps that you created from the my maps section and you can also create a new mind map. You can folder and categorize your mind maps that you created in the new folder section. So, you can access your mind maps easily whenever you want. You can continue working on it by importing. You can share your mind maps with your friends in the share section. I think it is an opportunity in terms of enabling students to take notes during the lesson and to be connecting with the teacher. You can draw the attention of children with colour features and you can also draw the attention of adults with complex structures. It has an interface that everyone can use it from 7 to 70.
