Edmodo is a classroom management tool for students, parents and teachers. Teachers can make group invitations to students, and social network specially designed for teachers, students write messages to them and teachers can create quizzes and share course documents. With edmodo, teachers can create online classes and invite students. By giving the group code, students register and parents can follow students. It is a Web2.0 tool which is used to create a virtual classroom. In additionally, it can be used to increase learning outside the classroom. Thanks to edmodo, teachers can communicate with students outside the classroom and send them their work. I think, it is an effective tool that can be used in distance education. It is suitable for secondary and high school students. In foreign language teaching, edmodo ensures that language skills are developed, new words and grammar rules are learned and target cultures in the language which are learned are learned. In additionally, it is effective in learning by providing students with responsibility and technology literacy by collaborating with students. Finally, it is a student-centered application with the opportunities which it provides in foreign language teaching and distance education.

2) This application can only be considered as an alternative when there is a powerful platform like eba.
